Dénommée Covered Bridge
The Lot 25 of the 6th Range of the Township of Guigues was patented in the name of Albert Dénommée in 1909. It is within the boundaries of this lot that the Dénommée Covered Bridge was reconstructed in 1933. We say “reconstructed” because the first bridge at this location was destroyed by a landslide during a flooding of the Rivière à la Loutre (Otter River).
In 1987, the bridge was entirely renovated. Ten years later, the Centennial Committee of Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues designated the covered bridge as one of the few significant assets of its heritage that has been preserved.
